Fish Pie

Serves 4

1lb 10oz potatoes - peeled
1lb 2oz smoked haddock
100g prawns
1 large onion - chopped
1 clove garlic - crushed
1 red pepper - chopped
300ml milk
30g butter
30g flour
142ml sour cream
3tbsp dill or parsley
25g cheddar cheese

Method:

Parboil potatoes
Sweat onions and peppers until soft
Poach fish in milk, drain & keep liquid
Flake fish & put in dish with prawns, onions, peppers and garlic
Make white sauce (recipe here) with flour and fish juice, add sour cream & herbs
Pour mixture over fish
Grate potatoes, add melted butter, spread over pie, top with cheese.
Bake 35-40 min @ 200c/400f/gas 6
