2 cups butter
24 oz chocolate chips
4 cups plain flour
2 cups brown sugar
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 cups granulated sugar
8 oz grated chocolate
5 cups ground oatmeal
4 eggs
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups chopped nuts

Cooking method:

Grind oatmeal to a fine powder.
Cream together butter, white and brown sugar.
Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
Slowly mix in flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
Add chocolate chips and grated chocolate.
Roll into 1 in diameter balls.
Bake for 10 min at 190c/375f (gas 5)
